Corporate Responsibility

Village MANOR is located in rural area in Taluka Palghar 150 km from Mumbai, Dist Thana.
Till the year 1960 , the Zilla Parishad school was able to provide education upto seventh standard only. Government due to lack of fund were not in a position to provide higher education in our MANOR village. Because of poverty, students were unable to go outside MANOR for higher education and hence forcing them to leave education halfway.

With a view to overcome this educational problem “GENERAL EDUCATION SOCIETY” was established in the year 1960 to provide opportunities in the field of education to poor students in MANOR village. The society is registered under Public Trust Act 1860 and also under society act 1951. Its registration number is F-78.

Previously the school was named as “General Education Society High School”, later in 1966 it was named as “Lal Bahadur Shastri High School” in the memory of late prime minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri as a tribute for the sacrifices he made for our country. Initially when the school was started in the year 1960, there were only 28 students which has reached to 1700 in the last 50 years of its existence.

For the welfare of the students, our organisation also started Junior college upto 12th standard in the name of “Smt. Satyabhama Yashwant Chaphekar Jr. College of Arts”. Every year more than 250 students are benefited by this facility. For making students foundation strong organisation is running Marathi medium primary school from standard 1st to 4th in the name of “Yashwant Narayan Chaphekar Primary School”. Over 500 students are studying in this school. In addition to this since last year organisation has also started English medium school in the name of “Yashwant Narayan Chaphekar English School”. The school is affiliated to CBSE Board-Delhi. At present classes from play group to 1st standard are conducted for more than 100 students.

The Objectives Of Organisation:
